Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) recognizes that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. At EICS, therefore, parents play an integral role in their child's education - both at home and at school. We welcome and encourage parent participation in all areas of their child's education.

Student Registration

Information on how to register your child is found on our division EICS website on the Parents and Students page.  Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open in February.  Please watch the EICS page for a 2023-2024 online registration form.  

 

PowerSchool

Pake sure to visit Powerschool on a regular basis to keep up to date on your child's marks, attendance, fees and forms.  If you do not have your login information, please contact the school.

Check out what our local Strathcona County Library has to offer for homework help.  These sites can be accessed anywhere with a Strathcona County Library card.

Solaro is 24/7 homework help and test prep for Gr. 3-12. Math, Science, and English Language Arts. Based on the Alberta curriculum, from the publishers of the Key study guides. 

Muzzy (language learning for kids) is Interactive language learning for kids with vocabulary lessons, videos and activities. Includes English (American or British), French, Spanish (Castillian or Latin-American), German, Portuguese (Brazilian), Chinese (Mandarin), Russian and Italian.  

Mango Languages (language learning for adults) is interactive language learning (72 languages) geared towards adults, but can certainly be used by students. Includes ESL specific learning for speakers of the following languages (instruction is in these languages): Arabic (Egyptian), Arabic (MSA), Armenian, Bengali, Chinese (Cantonese), Chinese, (Mandarin),  French,  German,  Greek, Haitian Creole,  Italian,  Japanese,  Ukrainian, Korean,  Polish,  Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish (Latin American), Turkish, Vietnamese.

School Fees

Invoices for school fees for the 2023-2024 school year will be available by the end of September via your parent PowerSchool account, under the Student Fees tab.  Fees may be paid online via PowerSchool or with cash/cheque brought to the school office. 

Invoices for the 22-23 school year have been sent out on June 28 with all outstanding fees for textbooks/library books, etc. included.  If you find any textbooks or library books over the summer, please return them to the school anytime after Aug 21 and the outstanding book fines will be removed.  Outstanding fees for the 22-23 school year must be paid by the end of August in order to avoid the collections process.
